The Streets to the Stars – A Tour of London’s Theatreland

Every Saturday in July & August


Throughout the Summer months of July and August, the City of Westminster Guides are offering a free guided walk around London’s infamous theatreland. Get to know all the quirky aspects of the West End shows, the hidden secrets and the ghosts. The walk takes two hours and starts from Covent Garden Station at 11am. These guided walks usually cost £8 per person but for this period it is completely free, so don’t miss out, check it out!

Back again in London for the fourth year, this week long event hosts a range of carefully selected independent Indian films which showcase the diversity and depth of Indian cinema. Moving away from mainsteam Bollywood productions, these films are bold, adventurous and thought-provoking, produced and directed by rare talent. Highlights from the festival are two highly acclaimed films, Monsoon Shootout and Bombay Talkies. The films will be shown at the British Film Institute (BFI) Southbank, Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) and selected Cineworld cinemas across London.

This annual music festival sees the coming together of music and fashion on London’s most quirky, fashionable street – Carnaby Street and its surrounding streets.

The main music stage will be on the iconic Liberty store’s rooftop!! Live music acts which are confirmed include Luminites, who just took part in the Britain’s Got Talent show 2013. The second stage is in the Newburgh Quarter of Carnaby which will showcase new and emerging artists. There will be a varied range of music genres, live music and DJs planned for the day.

Apart from the music, there will be various in-store promotions from the independent boutiques, fashion brands and concept stores, and food/drink offers from the eclectic choice of restaurants, bars and cafes in the area.
